Golden Retrievers make wonderful pets and they will do the utmost to keep you laughing, they play as hard as you want, for as long as you want, or will happily curl up at your feet when you need some serious relaxation. Goldens will also forgive us humans for our frequent silly mistakes, yet never holding them against us later. In short, your Golden Retriever pet is just about the perfect friend!

Check the Clubs and Links page for breeder contact information from one of the clubs listed. Local breed clubs in your area are another good resource, hopefully you can do a web search to find a couple. Don't forget to also ask your Vet., local dog trainer, or your neighbor that has the neatest dog on the block for a breeder referral. And, if there are local dog shows in your area I would encourage you to go see the Golden's show and meet breeders ringside. Talk to other breeders about their planned breeding's and ask to be placed on their “waiting-list” if you are interested in their dogs.
