I treat my dogs as part of my family and I expect the same and more of my pet homes.
I want all of my pets to be housedogs, all of them. If you intend to keep one of our pets as an outside dog please DO NOT CONTACT US ANY FURTHER.
Goldens are family members, not merely dogs to be treated as lawn furniture.
They are very people oriented dogs and they want to be with their people wherever that is -- in the house, outside, trips to the store, the post office, pet store, soccer games, camping trips, etc. A Golden whose life is spent in a backyard, in a kennel run, in a crate, or one who receives a pat now and then with his/her water and food, is a miserable creature!
Also we do not sell pets to brokers, pet stores, chains, or to any auctions. We do not place puppies into their new homes as gifts or on a doctor's advice. If a litter is ready to go to their new pet home around a major holiday, or has a vacation planned we will be glad to keep any pets until the chaos of the season has settled down.
Please follow the link belwo and read the information provided by the Golden Retriever Club of America on purchasing a Golden puppy before contacting us about a future litter.

All of my puppies (show or pet) are sold for $1200.00. Our pets are placed in pre-screened & approved pet homes with a written contract signed by all parties. Our contract requires all puppies sold as companions must be spayed or neutered within 14 to 18 months of age and they are sold on AKC Limited registration.
AKC Limited Registration means in the event the dog sires or bitch whelps a litter, the offspring will not be registered by the AKC. The purpose of this provision is to prevent unwanted puppies from being born.
We also state in our contract if at any time you cannot keep your Golden you agree to return the dog to us. Our interest in a new buyer does not end with the sale of the puppy.
We periodically keep in touch with our new pet owners and we will continue to help you with any questions or problems you may encounter with your puppy or adult. Our interest and commitment lasts for the life of the dog since we feel responsible for the dogs we create.
Our show dogs are sold with AKC full registration; meaning the offspring can be registered with AKC, and are placed into show homes on co-ownership show contract. We do not sell pets with full registrations because we have deemed pet quality to be "non-breed able" quality according to our AKC standard at the time we grade the litter at 8 weeks of age.
We ask that every person/family interested in one of our pets fill out our puppy questionnaire and review our contracts.
Once I receive your completed questionnaire and I have "approved" you as a qualified pet home I will place your name on my waiting list/s. Once the breeding if finished and the pregnancy is confirmed I will e-mail you. Once the puppies are whelped and I know how many of which sex survived I will again e-mail you and ask for 1/2 the cost of the puppy as a refundable deposit. Once I receive your deposit I will ask that you come visit the puppies starting from 3 weeks of age as often as possible so we can determine a match in temperament for your family and socialize puppies.
Should the litter not produce a pet that is a match in temperament for your family, it will be necessary for you to wait for one of our up-coming litters, or I will gladly refund your deposit. We will do our best to provide you with your choice of puppy; having said this, we do not place our puppies on a "first come, first serve" basis. We look at each family's lifestyle, their needs, the potential home environment and each individual pet's needs and personality and make the best match between the two.
The balance of the purchase price of the puppy is due when the puppies are six weeks of age. The six-week mark was chosen because this gives us time to cash checks, make puppy pick-up/drop-off arrangements, fill-out and sign contracts, etc.

Pets will go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age after the litter grading by several breeders. All puppies will have had their dew claws removed, will have been wormed two times, and will have had two puppy shots that provide protection against canine distemper, adenovirus cough, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, and both leptospirosis types before this puppy is 8 weeks of age. Shot records will be provided when the puppy is released to the new owner. The puppy will have also been micro-chipped by me at 5 weeks of age with an AVID chip, and an AVID certificate and the puppies AKC registration paper will be provided so the new owner may accomplish a transfer of ownership. As indicated in the contracts I have exercised every practice known as an ethical breeder at this time to produce sound, healthy Golden Retrievers puppies; no other health guarantee is offered or implied.
I plan to breed my Ch. Sweetbreeze's Lucky Penny (Penny) for the last time in Spring of 2011, and I've started a waiting list of puppy buyers. If you're still interested in a future SweetBreeze puppy fill out and return our puppy questionnaire, or contact me for more information.
I breed, raise, train, groom, and show my Goldens to AKC titles which means I breed to the AKC Golden Retriever standard. The AKC Golden standard Golden should possess a personality that is eager, alert, and self confident and a temperament that is friendly, reliable, and trustworthy. Along with this comes soundness (health of the dog), which is paramount to sustainability of the breed and of utmost importance to me. So my primary breeding focus is on temperament and soundness. Secondarily I focus on the remaining aspects of the breed standard (size, proportion, substance, head, neck, top-line, body, forequarters, hindquarters, coat, and gait), and lastly on the cosmetics of color.
If you're interested in one of my puppies then please fill out and return our puppy questionnaire, or contact me for more information.
